Course Description

Based on Maharishi AyurVeda, the world’s oldest system of natural medicine, the Naturally Trim approach to weight loss and weight management includes many effective techniques to help correct imbalances that cause weight disorders and other health problems. These techniques will put you in tune with your body’s needs, and help you to correct the imbalance that caused the weight problem in the first place. You will learn to enliven the inner intelligence already inherent in your mind and body.

In this course you will learn how to:

  • Reach your ideal weight without following a calorie-counting diet
  • Eat the right amount of food at the right time
  • Improve your digestion
  • Eliminate erratic and compulsive eating habits
  • Identify foods appropriate for your body type
  • Establish ideal balance in your physiology
  • Determine when to start eating and when to stop eating
  • Lose weight without suppressing your natural desire for food
  • Listen to your body – to create balance and health

The goal of this course is not just to help you lose weight, but to help you create a more balanced mind and body. You’ve embarked on a quest for self-improvement, and you will be creating a more balanced, healthy, blissful you.

Faculty

Robert Schneider, MD is an internationally recognized physician-scientist-educator and a leader in mind-body medicine and integrative medicine. Dr. Schneider did his postgraduate training in internal medicine and hypertension at the University of Michigan Medical School. He is a specialist in preventive medicine and preventive cardiology. In 2005, Dr. Schneider was elected as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Robert Keith Wallace, PhD received his PhD in Physiology from the University of California at Los Angeles and did his postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School. His seminal papers published in Science, the American Journal of Physiology, and Scientific American, showed that Transcendental Meditation technique, produced a fourth major state of consciousness different than waking, sleeping, or dreaming.

Paul J. Morehead, PhD is an educator and practitioner of Maharishi AyurVeda. He has been teaching Transcendental Meditation for 43 years and Maharishi AyurVeda for 28 years. Teaching these technologies for health and inner development, and seeing the immediate transformation in people’s lives, is his greatest fulfillment.
