Preparing to Connect

You need the following before you start:

Equipment:

• For best results, use a 56K modem. The minimum modem speed is 14.4K.
• You should have a mimimum of 8MB of RAM (memory) and 20 MB of free hard disk space.
• If your computer is networked, you may have to consult with Information Systems for the proper setup. Call 472-1170.

M.U.M. Account Information

Apply for an email account and password, including dial-up password, from Information Systems in Bldg. 402, Room 29. You will receive back your login name (User ID) and passwords as well as the DNS Server numbers for M.U.M.'s Internet servers. You will also receive the phone number used for dialing up to M.U.M. via modem.
