Ceramics
“After so many years of teaching here I am continually inspired by the freshness and joy that I perceive in our students’ work. The reaction of outside evaluators confirms this.” — James Shrosbree, Ceramics Professor
Ceramics is the embodiment of consciousness in clay. The very process of making ceramics effortlessly tells the story of nature’s silence functioning at every level of creation. The silent fullness of the potter’s awareness infuses the pot with a vitality which expresses the wholeness of both the artist and nature.
Special Features:

“Practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique everyday and living in an environment which supports personal growth and holistic knowledge has awakened my entire being to infinite beauty, creativity, and wisdom.” — Shana Stewart, B.F.A. Graduate in Ceramics
