National study puts University among best U.S. colleges
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is the most comprehensive assessment of effective practices in higher education. It is co-sponsored by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Pew Forum on Undergraduate Learning.
Seniors’ responses put Maharishi University of Management among the top bachelor’s and master’s institutions nationally in NSSE’s “benchmarks of effective educational practice,” based on data from a total of 135,000 students at 613 schools, surveyed between 2000 and 2002.
The results for Maharishi University of Management:

- Top 7% — Student-faculty interaction
- Top 4% — Enriching educational experiences
- Top 8% — Supportive campus environment
- Top 26% — Level of academic challenge
