The M.A. in Education with a specialization in secondary education prepares students for careers as middle or high school teachers with a strong foundation in school improvement and educational innovation.  The first two semesters focus on innovations in the realm of teaching and learning, and on school-wide reforms oriented toward boosting academic performance.  Candidates complete an additional semester of student teaching at the secondary level.  This program meets requirements for licensure in Iowa secondary schools.
